Position:  French Teacher

Position:  Director of Vocal Music

 

Assumption High School is currently seeking to hire an Iowa certified vocal music teacher for the 2013-2014 school year.  Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working in a teaching capacity with students in grades 9-12  to explore and expand their interest in vocal music.  This individual would organize and direct all activities of the Assumption Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, and Jazz Choir.  Additional time will be spent working with students interested in preparing the music for our school liturgies (Worship Team).  Both large group and individual student instruction would be components of a normal work day.  Preferred candidates will have experience in musical theater and a willingness to work closely with our drama department in the area of vocal music. Assumption High School is currently seeking to hire a drama director for the 2013-2014 school year.  Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with students in grades 9-12 to explore and expand their interest in the performing arts.  This individual would organize and direct all activities of the high school play in the fall and the high school musical in the spring.  Rehearsals would take place during the after school hours and on weekends.  Preferred candidates will have experience in musical theater and a willingness to work closely with school vocal and instrumental music departments.  This stipend position may be coupled with available teaching positions in vocal or instrumental  music.  Interested candidates are encouraged to submit a letter of interest, resume, and transcripts to:  Bridget Murphy (Principal), 1020 W.
