Girls Basketball
Head Coach Rachael Milliman
Rachel Milliman is entering her first season as head girls basketball coach at Assumption High School.
Milliman, a native of Flint, Mich., played college basketball at DePaul University (2004-07) and the University of Michigan (2002-04). She captained a DePaul team that was ranked as high as No. 10 nationally and reached the Sweet 16 in 2006. Milliman began her college career at Michigan where she was a starter as a true freshmen.
Milliman graduated from Luke M. Powers Catholic High School in Flint where she earned All-State honors and was the captain of back-to-back state championship basketball teams in 2000 and 2001. She was also captain of the school’s state championship lacrosse team in 2002.
The Lady Knights basketball program has won three consecutive Iowa Class 3A state championships (2011-2013), and four state titles over the past six years, while appearing in the state tournament 9 of the past 10 years. In addition, Assumption has won or shared 10 straight Mississippi Athletic Conference titles.
