Tuition Assistance Options

FAMILY TUITION PLAN
This plan, provided through a partnership between the Embracing Our Future campaign and the Mississippi Valley STO, provides assistance to more than 30% of current Assumption students. It is particularly helpful to low and middle income families with tuition expense at both the elementary and high school levels. We encourage families who are interested in Catholic education but are struggling with economic barriers to file a Family Tuition Plan application, which are available online as well as from the Assumption Business Office. Please submit the application, along with a copy of your 2012 Iowa 1040 Tax Form before September 30. Unsure of which tax forms to send in with your application? See an example here. For a more detailed explanation of the Family Tuition Plan, please view our explanation video.

ASSUMPTION STUDENT WORK PROGRAM
Students who qualify for a tuition grant through the Family Tuition Plan may also be given the opportunity to contribute to their education through the Assumption Student Work Program. Further information will be provided to successful tuition grant recipients.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND TUITION ASSISTANCE
As a result of generous donor support, Assumption is able to offer several scholarship opportunities. The average scholarship award is $500, and as long as students fit the set criteria, they may apply for as many scholarships as they would like. In addition to the scholarships listed below, many Assumption scholarships are also available from local parishes.

Instructions: Students should write a paragraph (100-150 words) indicating why he or she would like to be considered for the scholarship - the same paragraph may be used for each scholarship. Please be sure your application includes the scholarship name, your name, address, and date. All applications are confidential. Scholarship recipients will be notified by mail. Scholarship applications are due back to the Business Office no later than April 1st.
