Former Knight Participates
in Shrine Bowl
Asa Klein, 2008 graduate of Assumption High School, is currently participating in events leading up to the 36th annual Iowa Shrine Bowl game. The Shrine Bowl is an annual event sponsored by the Shrine temples throughout Iowa. Proceeds from the game are used to support Shriner's hospitals throughout the country.
Asa is one of 92 student athletes who were nominated by their schools and then selected by the Shrine bowl coaching staffs. Asa will be part of the South squad, and will play offensive guard.
The Shrine bowl game will be played Saturday July 26th, at Jack Trice stadium on the campus of Iowa State University at 7:00 PM. The public is invited to attend. For those who can't make the trip to Ames, the game will be aired on Fox Channel 18 in the Quad Cities at 12 noon on Sunday July 27th.
